WotLK Acquiring points

This is my first post here, so you can correct me if I wrote something wrong or simply posted this on the wrong subforum.

I recently got back into WoW, having played on this server while it was under the name of Molten-WoW for about 4 years. Back then, the point scoring system was a little different, so I seem to have some troubles getting used to the new one. I read several posts about it, and about a month ago I scored over 1000 achievement points on one of my characters on Blackrock, but I still get the "You do not have any points to collect." notification every time I try to collect my points.

Did I miss out on something? Thanks in advance.

Blackrock characters don't count, since you get a bunch of "free" achievements there.
