WotLK Are arenas and BGs cross-realms or realm-specific?

I recently started playing and the main reason is to do some PvP.
Now, my question is, if I play on Lordaeron (because you cannot pay $$ for items there), will I only get matched against other people from Lordaeron? Or will it be cross realm and include people from other 3.3.5 servers like Icecrown and Blackrock?

Normally, I would be very surprised by a private server implementing cross realms instancing, but hey, at Warmane they manage to do some really cool stuff already :)

yes, you will face players from Blackrock and Icecrown in BG and Arena.

For Arena, the system will prioritize players from your same realm.

For BG, if you have low gear, you will join BG with low gear players (whenever possible, not always)

You should support this server, donate your money and get gear, Then you will be a force in Arena. There is nothing wrong with it. I'm about to donate now to get a BiS weapon for my rogue. This is way more fun than retail wow. So just spend that 15 dollars a month here, You will kick a lot of ***.

And it's not pay to win, I never donated until now, and I still have 50 thousand honor kills. You can get everything for free if you have a good ninja team to help you.

I never said there is anything wrong with supporting the server you like.
In fact, I already donated since I do like the job they did with the server and the community they are upkeeping.
I also like the lvling experience on 1x in general and most things truly work here.

But I am never ever going to spend whatever they gave me for donation on gear for my character. That's very much what I don't want to do since for me this is lame and cheap. Nothing made me facepalm harder then (on other private servesr) all the human arena melee setups with shadowmournes and bis trinkets at 1500 rating.

It will not be separated. Here is what they wrote: "Crossrealm will be activated for battlegrounds, but various measures will be in effect to ensure that players you find yourself against or allied with will be on equivalent standing in terms of gear."

Good point. That's BGs only though and even there it will only give you a fraction of playerbase from other servers. Still good though.
