1. What gear to get with Emblems of Frost

Good day, this is my armory, http://armory.warmane.com/character/...daeron/summary.
I collected enough EoF for my first piece of gear, which one should it be? I asked loads of people in-game but I got different answers, someone told me trinket first, others told me back/waist, others told me collect set gear first starting from head/chest or whatever.

  2. I recommend getting corroded skeleton key, it has amazing stamina buff and shield. You should have def capped, so if you are lacking def, change waist or something that will even boost your GS.

  3. Thanks, sorry if I'm being dumb, what do you mean by def capped, I can't see a defense rating in my armory

  4. If you don't mind waiting longer, just save up the EoF to get your T10 set pieces.

Honestly, all the pieces mentioned (cloak, belt, trinket, etc) are great buys and you should get them all unless you get really lucky in an ICC25 PuG.

If you can't wait, then getting Corroded Skeleton Key is great for a first buy as it lasts you almost forever.

  5. Do NOT get the Corroded Skeleton Key. Work on farming up Juggernaut's Vitality instead for that trinket slot.

ALWAYS get your Tier 10 pieces first. The other item suggestions from Icyheart are great follow-ups.

Corroded Skeleton Key should be one of your last item buys and only if you cannot manage to get a decent stamina trinket by the time you farm up everything else.

  6. I would save every EoF for my T10, set is "core" of your gear, offset items are great, but they are secondary and corroded key is overrated.

Probably get shoulders+chest first, clear VOA every week for a chance to get pants+gloves. Use non-set helmet.

Defence cap is your Defence reducing chance to critically hit you - you will need 540(6% was it?), then no boss can critically hit you(oneshot you). You can check it on your character sheet under Defences.

  7. I'm a warrior tank and I prefer having all off pieces rather than t10 as most of them suck hard.

That doesn't really apply to this topic, but it's not about whether you think the items themselves are good. That doesn't matter so much. What matters is the SET BONUS. That is what makes the tier set the largest spike in power of all the items you could obtain from the vendor.

  9. Thanks for all of your replies, I guess I'll save up for the T10 gear, starting from shoulders? Then get the chest and depending on stuff get the Skeleton Key and later the off pieces

THIS!! At last a good advice. Never get corroded asa tank, really. Even the trinket from Hadronox heroic is better than this. Farm black heart or something... When you have 40k hp unbuffed, armor becomes much more important than extra stamina. T10 should come first, then belt and cloak with frost. These two pieces have extra armor as their extra stat which is superb and imo they are better than even higher gs items with not that much armor. If you played on lordaeron launch you would understand that just stamina stacking is useless and effective health is much more important.

On paladin tanks the t10 2 set bonus is very important as it gives you a ****load more threat whihc is needed when you brawl with 17k dps people to keep aggro even on top of mds(rogues never tot you so fck those people[joke]).

Imo get shoulders+head first. Keep delaying gloves and pants as they may fall from voa10 or 25.

PS: Skeleton key is only to posture to noob leaders thinking stamina is what defines a geared tank... Worthless trinket. Even the triumph one is better with its 1700 armor(the use of it sucks but it can be used in voa on 4 or 5 stacks to get enough avoidance to clear the stacks and solotank).
