1. Issue regarding laptop heating

I have very old i5 laptop (puchased in 2011), it was performing fine when i used to play on Warmane - Cataclysm(Neltharion).

But it heats a lot on Wotlk(icecrown) lowest possible video setting. Can it be because of wotlk client (with WoD model) ?

Will downloading old wotlk client solve the issue ?

  2. Well when you were playing on cata realm it was about 3 years younger with 3 years worth of dust less.
Clean it, replace thermal paste if it's dried up, it isn't the games fault, it's the laptop.

  3. Is Vertical Sync enabled in graphics settings? If it's disabled, the game will try to get as many FPS as it can. By default, up to 300 FPS. Which will cause increased load on both CPU and GPU.

man it worked... Drastic drop of 25degrees... gpu/cpu were at 95 degrees before, Now at 70 degrees. Thanks a lot :)

And btw will wotlk (without WOD model) will hv more effect on gpu/ cpu load ? or no ?
