I would like to get some feedback and some opinions on what to do please.
I've encountered an account I believe is using some kind of AHBot.
Let me explain why I suspect it.
I've been trying to sell my Sovereign Dreadstone, I sell quite a few a day as I have lot of time keeping an eye on the AH due to us having Lockdown in South Africa. Usually if a player competes with me alot I ad them as a friend so I can see when they go offline so I can undercut their deals (it is what it is). Today I've come across a player, he undercuts EVERY sale I make, so as usual I go to add him as a friend. Then I got the message "Friends must be part of your alliance". I am horde, so I thought getting that message was weird as I was trading on the Orgrimmar AH. I went to Warmane Armory on website and confirmed that the player IS in fact Alliance player. So why is he undercutting me on a Horde AH and HOW?
They I logged my Alliance char to see if I can ask him how he does it and also to see if I can see my own (Horde) auctions on the Alliance AH.
I found that I can't see my Horde auctions on the Alliance AH (As suspected), and also, that the player isn't even online, so I continued to ALT+TAB through my accounts and undercut his auctions, while he still manages to undercut me while offline AND in the opposing faction as me.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Do you guys agree he is possibly using a Bot?
That could be the result of 2 toons using same name. I've seen a handful of cases where people have the same name and one of those becomes somewhat "invisible". People can't whisper him, can't add him is a friend, nothing.
So as for your case I think the legit name holder is Alliance and the other dude with the same name is Horde - you just can't add him since he's "invisible". Usually people that are "invisible" for the lack of better word ask staff help for the reasons I stated above.
