Technical WOTLK installer doesn't do anything

I just got a new computer with Windows 10 but my last one crashed a few weeks ago. I downloaded the WOTLK game client. I click on the installer and nothing happens. I've tried running it as admin, and with every possible compatibility mode. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I get this message:

"Sorry, the installer was unable to start up.

Unable to initiate streaming. Please check your internet connection. If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support."

My internet connection is working correctly btw....

have you downloaded the game from here? https://www.warmane.com/download

Can you post a SS of that error message?
click on wow.exe, it should directly start the game (remember to log-in by using warmane account name, not email address)

What "installer"? The WotLK client from the Warmane download page is completely portable! You can literally put it on a big enough USB drive and run it on any PC that can run WotLK.
Download the client -> execute wow.exe -> log in with your warmane account name and your password, not e-mail -> play .
