Question about bannable user scripts

Hello Staff.

Im interested in LUA-scripting and want to create for myself an addon to multi-dot targets in raids with just spamming one button. It will choose target automatically based on some simple conditions.
Is this behaviour of script bannable?

I didnt found clear answer in Players Code of Conduct.

My main question is: will i ever get ban for this script i'm using only in raids?

Why would you even consider that? Tab targetting too hard? Scripting of any kind is banable, whether it's used for PvE or PvP.

Man, every addon u using is set of LUA scripts. I'm asking staff about this specific case.

I'd assume it's the same as using auto hotkey: it's a grey area.
Someone asked about automating clicking professions and the answer was something along the lines of that it's allowed as long as you're holding one button and it's only performing that one action repeatedly and only doing it while holding it so that you can't go afk.
That thread did not involve targeting so it may be different.

Before testing I'd suggest waiting for some higher ups to answer also.

This is the part that would be the issue. If you want to stay within the rules, you have to make it an addon, not some external scripts. And addons are not able to dynamically switch targets based on conditions while in combat. With a single key-press, you are limited to /target macro or something with a similar functionality, which can be modified by addons but only while not in combat. Blizzard has put many limitations in addon functionality, especially during combat. As long as you follow those, there should be no issues.

Yes, that's almost always the case. So far the only exception I have seen is related to automatically spamming chat with recruitment messages or something similar while not using the character, which some staff members have said is against the rules but I don't know if that's actually the case since I haven't asked the GM's specifically about it.

Does anybody knows what is the Ban procedure for this sort of scripting? They will just ban me, or contact firstly? Can i count on amnistia, because im not using scripts to achieve some important goals like Arena rating or smth?

They don't contact people before banning them. If you get banned, you have to make a ban appeal. But if it's an addon not an external script, there should be no reason for a ban. Also I think they treat scripting in PvP more seriously than in PvE.
