Paladin Retribution is not even worth playing anymore wtf.
What is this seal of right seal change you made us not even want to play ret's anymore now we are forced to play hibrid noob spec i did 5 k crit on a non resil person in bg tonight and i am astonished it's like our damage gone from 100 % to 40 % wtf.
A lot of paladins wisphered and chatted and we all say this is some nasty stuff u we had chosen paly cause of the dmg not cause he looks cool or have cc or any other control things without our dmg we are nothing .

I'm critting people for 14-15k, pvp geared for ~10k.
Maybe you lack gear or something.
Pala is fine.

Anybody cares to chip in about what this guy says? I want to gear up a pala and I'm concerned because indeed if the dmg is not good then the class is meh.

1. There is nothing wrong with paladin dmg
2. Retri is utility class first of all, some decent dmg is just nice addition.
2.1. You will be behind warriors, mages, rogues, druids in terms of dmg.
So in sum - class is actualy great, but it depends how you will play it

Yes. Ret Pally is utility. Best to play as an Off Tank of sorts, use stuns, toss out a fast heal for a mate about to die.

I have 4 paladins. People who say you can't do big retry DPS are wrong (I've pulled ~14k on VoA25 frost boss @ 6821 gs). Usually close to top melee dps with it.
That being said, ret paladin is indeed more for utilities. In heroic raids, you're expected not to pull gigantic DPS, but to be able to prevent mistakes from happening (e.g. salvation an fwar before he pulls the boss, hand of sacrifice the tank on kelseth if he doesn't have enough orbs, hand of freedom anybody with consumption in RS, the list goes on). In many situations, not performing your utilities properly can result in a wipe.

Ironically in BGs a Shadowmourne Ret Paladin running at me scares me the most cause they pull insane damage if fully geared and your complaining about their damage?

LoL, paladin is the only class that can kill death knight with Icebound Fortitude or shadow priest with dispersion within one combo(Judge+CS+DS+EXO+HoW).
Also paladin is the only class that can duel two rogues with same gear level at same time and still win.
Even if they would buff damage by only 10%, you would see 50% pala class on battlegrounds.

Rets in wotlk pvp actualy have so many hard counters that hes right to complain, not the paladins fault that the majority of the population cant play their classes. Now onto what hes talking, hes talking, if I understood him right about the hybrid arena spec, which is frankly unplayable in BGs, because you lack the damage and the art of war procs cant outheal a big group fight. You need to know when to pick your battles and you can be pretty dominant in BGs, dont charge into every fight unless you have a pocket healer, pick your targets and you will have a great expirience and a pretty good K/D, but if you decide to play like a bot and then come whine on forums, then better just reroll a DK, get a smourne and you will have the defensives and offensives to dominate anyone in BGs.
