So I had opportunity to play this bis shadowmourne arms warrior in battlegrounds, and I thought it will be soo fun, you know - insane burst, crits, burning down people in 4 gcds - well the downside is that the same thing happens to you. High bracket battlegrounds are just a burstfest. Everybody burns down everybody so fast as many players are bis, many nearly bis. Healer is a must have, but even with gucci heals meet 2/3 enemies or take part in 10 vs 10 and you see 4-17k crits and you are burned down like when you entered battleground for the first time without pvp gear to farm honor for first pvp pieces - this is from 1105 resilience warrior pov, however I guess if I would be there with my DK as bis, still doing 1v2 would be impossible due to insane dmg you take from everybody. All in all it's fun to burst people down, but the same thing is happening to you.
Meanwhile with my DK (1k resilience) in lower bracket (here i see up to 5.8k gs players) I don't see those numbers, well 7-11k happens but it's very very rare. I can hold 1v2/3 sometimes, or fights like 5v5/10v10, whatever situation. Yes DK has more survivability but the thing here is that this bracket isn't that bursty that I see 4-8k crits all the time - here I see mainly 2-3k crits.
With my DK I enjoy battlegrounds with 5.4 k gs furious set and normal bryntroll, and I thought I will enjoy more as bis but it seems that being bis isn't funnier as you will face bis players too.
So this is my experience with high bracket battlegrounds, maybe I should sell warrior and buy bis items for DK, but would it change that much if I will still get huge crits? 2 more gcds to kill me? :D I'm really confused.
Then start wearing more resilience, anywhere from 1400 - 1800 until you've found a comfy level where you stop flopping over in 2 hits.
All you're there for is MS, UA and the occasional bash anyway.
