Forum Missing characters

Hello,
Last time I played the game was in 2018, so it seems my characters have been flagged for a rename due to inactivity cleanup, and I cannot find them in the armory. I understood that all I need to do is to log in to the game to rename them. However my characters were in the outland server, and it looks like I cannot download a warmane client to outland anymore. Tried the wotlk one, but my characters are not found there. Anyone else with a similar problem and has been able to renew their characters?

I am not 100% on this, but my guess is this goes similarly to how the Cats server went and the similar complaints I've seen there. The server Outland had been flagged for demolition for some time, players had the opportunity to migrate them to Icecrown and sounds like you missed the boat on that. I would guess they are gone for good.
