    Dalaran & Icecrown Crashes

    Hi,

First of all I know there are already old and kind of new topics related to this issue, I read it all but presented solutions (except a program name LAA or something) did not work on my end. I am trying to avoid to install a program which can be malicious.

So I am constatly getting crashes in Dala and Icecrown. My pc is not an high-end pc but a mediocre one. It's obviously way better than what WOTLK requests. I have ever experienced this much crash on Warmane before. What could be the problem?

I can provide any detail which will be requested. Thank you in advance.

What kind of crashes? Do you get a specific error or does it crash the game to desktop? Does it happen in specific areas of Dalaran/Icecrown or only on certain ones?
    LAA isn't malicious btw.

Hey Mate, thanks for the reply.

If I am not mistaken it is memory related crashes mostly. Regarding LAA, I did not say it iss malicious but I am not sure if it is or not. Do you think it can help?

Yeah it is spesifically in Dala (in any areas) and some places of Icecrown but %99 of the time game crashes in Dalaran as fps drops to 2 from 165 immediately.

EDIT: It crashed again and here is crash notification that I receive all the time:

This application has encountered a critical error:

If it's a memory related crash, LAA will surely help.
I'm using it myself and you've got nothing to worry about. Just make sure you get it from here: https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...-aware.112556/ (laa _2_0_4.zip) and follow the instructions in the post.

alright mate, i'll give it a shot. do you have any idea about dramatic fps drops in dala from 165 to 2? is it about over populated dala?

OK, I'll try LAA a couple of days more but so far I can tell that crashes are not happening. Thanks for the advice.

I remember back before I used LAA, my FPS would drop immensely before CTD due to "requested X bytes of memory".
It's possible LAA sort of fixes that, by enabling more RAM to be used, so no huge FPS drops before you're about to get CTD.

EDIT: It will not completely remove FPS drop in that regard, but you shouldn't drop to single digit FPS as a result.
