Why? What the hell is problem to put brackets from 3k-5.5k gs? There used to be bracket from 0 to 5k and that was awesome(free gear from blackrock and easily obtainable Furious in ICC server allows you to pick between that lower Season 6 bracket or to advance to Season 7 Relentless and getting stomped by donors), but lately i started to get in some middle bracket from 4.8 to 5.8 with my Furious mage ...sometimes im getting matched with this PvE guys from ICC and Lord in with up to 5.8k gs? Yesterday i played against almost full Wrath paladin as 20k furious mage??? Now im playing against Wrath/Rele hunter, Rele rogue etc.. do u know how impossible is to play that? 1 ambush and Evi and u are at 5k hp with pvp gear. I just dont get how on earth that guys end up playing this lower brackets, there are even lower geared players than me, so imagine 3k mage playing against 5.8k hunt?
Questions are: -HOW THEY END UP PLAYING WITH US?
- What is the problem of having strict system gear up to 5.5 in lower and 5.5+ higher bracket. Why am i asking this? Because there is obvious number of ppl(which is growing) which are not interested being stomped in premade bgs with 5 SMs and 5 healers behind them
- Im sure there are ppl like me that will wait 5min queue to play in normal bracket where players are equally geared than to make some stupid groups with random gear
They should actually remove the brackets, and make everyone play in the same bg, as it should be, and always has been in wow history. Everyone had to start from butchery meat and make his way up.
All this mess and complication just to create a safe space for low gs snowflakes is absolute nosense to me, but w/e.
Solution: gear up, 3k gs is laughtable, reaching 5.5-6k is easy and fast, and EVERYBODY can do that without donating. Then you can compete on paar with everyone.
Set GS (ilvl) values for brackets would introduce worse case of twinking, which isn't something that's wanted. Thus lower and higher bracket threshold changes, and brackets are there to balance the gear differences, not to shield you fully from evil big GS people.
Don't forget you would be fighting BiS people from day 1 if brackets weren't there in the 1st place.
Also, depending on queue times, people might be pushed to higher bracket to make queues shorter. Doubt this happens the other way around.
Twinking is (or at least was) already a problem in lower brackets.
Also I'm not sure about the last part: every time I have seen someone with low gs in a high bracket bg it's because they had purchased a wrathful piece of gear.
The threshold changed as part of fine tuning queue times vs. the breakpoint for brackets.
People trying to abuse the breakpoint, such as with "pseudo-twinking," by having one overly powerful item along with weak pieces, to game the brackets and get an undesired advantage, were forced into the higher bracket.
