I find Alliance's mercenary mode very realistic. Just add the commercial mode to the crowd, it's very easy to solve. The server also gets profit from it. Why doesn't the Realms Horde do the same as Alliance?

Because Mercenary mode was introduced as a result of too large queue times for Alliance because there's very little Horde queing - so to make it even, Alliance switch over to Horde side and now you have for example, 50 Alliance and 30 Horde+20 Mercenary Alliance. Because of that queue times were lowered on Alliance side. There's no need for Mercenary mode for Horde because there's very little Horde and their queue times are instant.
