WotLK Missing Characters

I'm missing 3 characters on Icecrown. It's been a long while since I last logged in and do not see the characters on the website or in game, aside from the character count next to server name.

Check all tabs from https://www.warmane.com/account/history especially account, gifting, and trading for anything you don't recognize.
Check if there's restoration offered: https://www.warmane.com/account/services
If your account is premium, check https://www.warmane.com/account/trade select sell -> Characters I'm trading / Characters I've traded.

If it seems somebody has access to your account:
First scan your computer.
Change password.
Enable 2FA.
Make entirely new email and change your account's email to that.


EDIT: Do you have any info if they were high level, or bunch of low level ones? If they were low level ones, they may have been deleted per rulings of Inactivity Cleanup and Gold Squish for a healthier economy.

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply but unfortunately none of those were a solution for me. I think my character was in the 40's but it was a while back and it could very well have been considered low level and removed. I will just assume that's the case. Thanks again.
