Technical I lose all my characters of the last sesson

Hi.
I had a lot of 80 characters on Froustborne last year (the most powerfull one a priest called purplepriest). I log in again on the page and as i see they all dissapear, they are not even on icecrown. I wanna know at leats why i lose them, or what can i do to restore the account.
