I have recently joined the server with a group of friends ( Horde ) and have recently reached the 20-30 leveling Bracket.
We have been extremely disappointed by the lack of interest and support that Warmane offers to prevent people from griefing others .
For the past 2 weeks there have been a few alliance player that have been weaponizing their collective 100IQ and lvl80s to camp leveling hubs ( Freewind Camp - needles / Tarren Mill - Hillsbrad) . They chain kill NPCs and people for 3-4 hours + everyday.
If this is what you consider to be * PVP * and believe that this is for anyone's benefit ( nevermind the people that quit the server because of this), please confirm if you condone this behaviour.
You can look at it like this,
Point of interest in contested territory is eee well, contested. It belongs to them. At that point you are not supposed to level in those camps, it's stupidity akin to jumping in fire and complaining you get burned.
I'm sorry to say this angrylol, but I don't feel like you put much effort into understanding the big picture before replying to my post.
A couple of muppets going afk in shadowmeld hiding in a corner with pets on aggresive killing all NPC in a lvl 20-30 quest hub for 2-4 hours at a time, every single day, doesn't really strike me as PVP/RP , engaging, fun, productive in any way or serve any other purpose other than griefing people.
Another dude who gets camped by an afk dudes pet for 2 hours. I can't tell if it's so sad that it's funny or other way around.
Point is, that afk guy took such a huge dump in your shower, he went afk and you still can't do anything about it, except asking daddy to push it down the drain with fingers. Get your own hands dirty, go gather people, kill them.
put out the call for help on global. cant speak to all alliance of course, but usually when a group goes to camp a 'contested hub' it is actually an attempt to drum up some pvp. killing lows gets boring pretty quick. but fighting a squad of 80 'heroes' who come to save ya can be interesting

I would agree, however these guys just run away when people show up, and move to another quest hub on the other continent... tarren mill - > freewind(needles) seems to be the pattern .
buddy, you have NO IDEA how much time some of us on ally side spend babysitting lowbies. redridge, duskwood, stv, hellfire... we pretty much always have a presence in these hotspots, and more. at least alliance gankers seem to pick a spot to linger, we have had horde gankers actively hunting down lowbies from certain target guilds, chasing them no matter what zone they go to try to level in. ya know what we do? we ID and hunt these gankers ourselves soon as we know they logged on, and assign an escort until we kill the gankers enough they log.
just because your faction sucks doesnt mean you need to whinge to gms (who genuinely dont care anyway). if you dont like the way griefers are handled, handle em yourself. level up, gear up, maybe make a guild, but do something yourself. you have all the same tools alliance does. this is the game. it is world of WARcraft. war is ugly, and unfair, and it is always the innocents who pay first and most. so either fight back, or go play hello kitty or something.
any changes to the way pvp is handled would almost certainly be the death of the server. there are very few here who would enjoy playing hello kitty.
as an aside, it was very stupid to post your in game name here. i can pretty much promise you will be actively targeted now and if you think you were ganked hard before... buckle up buckaroo. its gonna get rough.

I agree with you and I know how you feel. thankfully there is one realm pve and you can try it (Frostmourne) but it is seasonal.
It's really simple: they aren't doing anything illegal or abusing any bug and it's a player-created situation that can be solved by players.
GMs aren't there to "mitigate" unfair PvP. If quest hubs were meant to be safe, they wouldn't be Contested. In the case any of those players do something against the rules (as written, not as you'd want to interpret them), report and GMs will take action. Otherwise, call for help from other players in your faction.
The fact that there is no GM involvement to mitigate this, displays a lack of interest in maintaining a good culture and population on the server.
And for what ? Protecting lvl 80's who afk in quest hubs using gimmicks to get on roofs and then shadowmeld... engaging gameplay.
You have the tools to not get repeatedly ganked, how about you use them? Stop making yourself the victim you oh so much want to be. Or is it just easier for you to point finger and command others to do something about it? You've tried nothing and you're already out of options.
If you hate other players negatively effecting your gameplay, consider switching to single-player games. Maybe something that's aimed for 4-10 yo's.

Technically you aren't wrong, but the game wasn't designed to be a monolith forever (in fact, even Warmane made broad changes). I'd ask a question: is it desirable for a server to have probably the best leveling zones consistently being put off-limits to newbies by lvl 80 players?
I think there's probably a middle way between "pvp forbidden" and "camping lvl 30s all day long is fine".
No "broad change" we have ever implemented had to do with intervening in player-created situations that can be solved by players themselves.
The middle way is found by asking people in your faction to assist.

Congrats at your attempt to offend /yawn .
@Obnoxious - People are asking for support, and I myself have. I haven't suggested that zones have forbidden pvp, that's preposterous. The issue are 2-3 players ( that I am not allowed to name due to forum rules), who camp the quest hubs in shadowmeld and run away when a lvl 80 players comes to defend. Then to immediately come back once the player leaves.
I seriously can't see any reason they would be doing that, except grieving people that are leveling - which automatically makes for a horrible experience. And no traversing Tarren Mill - > Freewind Post in 40minues isn't a solution because that one gets camped too.
The only escape seems constant rdf , if a bit boring..
