So once you hit level 80 and have mostly geared up, what do you do? Like, beyond the daily HC dungeon and the weekly raids, VOA, TOC, ICC, etc , what do you do with your time to keep from getting bored? PvP? Basically what is there to do end game, besides raiding? What are some fun activities to do?

I loved collecting tmog sets from all dungeons and chasing achievements. Got to 8.7k achievement points. You'll likely need to do all quests in the world so you have a mini "world lore tour" aswell and I found that fun too.

You can always farm gold and play the auction house. The excess gold can be sold on the market place for coins.

can you suggest some gold farm methods? I have skinning at 450 but that is a very slow method.

I recommend tailoring your gold farming activities to what you enjoy in the game. Efficiency should not be your primary concern. For most of us, if we are to truly min-max, we'd spend time working IRL instead of trying to earn gold in game. I see gold farming as an alternate way to grind for gear outside of raiding and arena. It's about the journey, not the destination.

Collect stuff, do older content (solo or with friends), make a challenge character. Help random plebs that asks for help (the kind ones, not the begging ones).
Or do what I often do when bored. Join a raid with appropriate GS requirement, e.g. 5.3K GS req for ICC 10 pug, with your 6k+ toon. Be kind, supportive, offer aid when needed. It will require patience, if you're not used to slower raids that may wipe a bit.

I have a 6k pala tank. I don't raid that much now so what I do whenever I'm bored is put on some **** gear, just the right gear to enter RHC and do a very awful job as tank, just when they are about to kick me I put on my real gear. The reactions are priceless.

I have 6.4k gs set of gear for Frost DK. It consists of 277/284 mostly healer/spell items, hc Bloodsurge and troll gear like that. Mp5, dodge rating sockets, also the most disgusting enchants there is. I join pug raids with it and on third boss people start to wonder why is this overgeared dude doing 3k dps. Then the fun starts, some are trying to get me to buy gear for them, some are freaking out telling me to refund items. And I try to convince them that it's the best gear because DKs can healand do spells. Some get so mad, they foam from mouth. Fun times.

When I got bored I started multiboxing because controlling tank, healer and DPS at the same time brings a whole new complexity to the game.
