Technical Unable to type some symbols or accented letters in-game

Hello, for a while now I've been unable to type character such as certain accented letters and symbols such as €, They show up as a "?" symbols which stack on top of each other. I know it's possible to use these characters as I've been able to use them in the past and I see them appearing without an issue when other players use them.

I recently thought that it may be an issue with language settings on my system, but changing them around didn't make a difference. Another thing I've considered is that my game only contains the enUS files in the data folder, although I'm not sure if that would affect this and have not been able to find a download for any other locale files.

If anyone has also experienced this issue and/or knows of a solution to this I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

I have never been able to type € in game with the enUS or enGB clients.

Yeah it's very odd. I've asked around gotten confirmation that some people who are able to type €'s only have the enUS locale, so surely that can't be the source of the issue.

It's possible it depends on the keyboard layout.
