Is it botting to have a character repeat a message to chat on a timer?
That is the exact scenario I'm talking about. There's some guy posting the exact same message on a 60 second timer for several hours while sitting in Shatt. I've verified that it is strictly at a 60 second interval by turning on timestamps in chat.
I thought about it and that would be described as automating an action, which is botting. It's one thing to macro a message that you press periodically while playing. That involves a player action and thus is fine, even if annoying for others.
