Is there a fix for the persistence issue I'm being plagued with?
No matter how many times I configure my video settings, no matter how long I play for, whether I exit the game immediately or log out safely (wait for the timer) the issue persists. Unlike my chosen video settings...
They're being reset every time I close and re-launch the game.
I've also tried deleting the Interface, Cache and WTF folders - it simply breaks the game completely.

Hello , i may be able to help with this situation ,
open your WTF folder and right clich the config file, you see an option "properties" once you click it make sure that "read only" is un-checked.
Let me know if this works.

Another player recommended simply going into the main folder properties and unchecking read-only for the parent folder and all sub-folders and files. That seems to have fixed the issue.
I do have a new issue though, I'm unable to switch between fullscreen and windows/maximized mode now. I'm stuck in exclusive fullscreen.

Yes that's what I'm trying to set, but when I click the check box for windowed, it black screens. I have to press esc to bring back video for the game.

Open your WTF folder and go to Config.WTF file , add this line to the file
SET gxWindow "1"

That worked to get me out of fullscreen mode, but now the game seems to freeze up at the login screen. I thought maybe it had something to do with my refresh rate so I tried setting my refresh rate to 60 using the file, but it still freezes.
