Donated for some coins so I can quickly buy gold: THEY ARE LOCKED?!v

I just donated on the website and tried to buy gold on the trade system. I got the You do not have enough non locked coins to purchase this sale, try again in 72 hours.
message even though I bought the coins through the donation window and paid for them with my card.

Can someone explain? I thought this only happens when you sell something for coins.

Like I already said, it's for anything involving Trading and other players.
Gold is sold by players, not by us, therefore the wait before you can use Coins in that applies the same way.
