Every time I try to create a new account I get the message "that account name is already in use," no matter what name I choose. The names I'm choosing are obviously not taken already, and this is a bug.

Also, apparently gmail addresses are no longer required, but the account create page still says "google email address" on the email field. I'm trying to use a yahoo address. Is this what's causing the bug?
