Hi, I've started playing on Lordaeron a while back, and I noticed quite early on that my character is able to block without having a shield equipped. I'm a low-lvl paladin and even when I just started playing and had a 2-handed mace I was blocking occasionally. This isn't how it's worked in retail, and I just want to know how to report tickets for that sort of thing. Or is that done in this forum perhaps?
But the basic 5% block chance that I have as a passive says "Requires shield". Like I said, I can block even now when I am using the Verigan's Fist, a 2-handed mace.
Created a new character to check, because I thought it might be easier to spot if I had less distractions. I made a dwarf paladin, same as my actual character, I now have a screenshot showing that I've blocked. While trying to see if this would happen I also parried at lvl 2 which the UI says has a chance of 0.00 % and is of course not learned until later on. I have a screenshot of that as well.
I'm very new to this forum, though, and I don't understand how to share screenshots. Can anyone give me some pointers?
I can add some more info. I was dodging a hell of a lot more than I was blocking or parrying, in fact I only noticed 1 parry and 1 block. The possibility to dodge is of course independent of any skill or gear, unlike with parrying (trained skill) or blocking (requires a shield) so it makes sense that I dodged a lot. It seems more to me like this is some logic error akin to the "1/256 glitch" in gen 1 pokémon, meaning that there is something wrong in the logic which allows for a low chance to block and/or parry even though there shouldn't be any chance for it.
