Should we farm HKs to get the PVP titles and buy the gear with gold before TBC pre patch on Nov 2?
What should we do with BG marks? From what the devs said, they will be reset to 0 on pre patch day but currently handing in BG marks gives honor points in vanilla which does not work for anything since you just need the HKs requirement to buy PVP gear and mount.
Just to be sure if I should be grinding AV before pre patch or just wait until TBC pre patch on Nov 2 to start farming honor for TBC pvp gear.
Thanks!
Well, what I'm going to do is learn the mount training in vanilla and wait for TBC to buy my epic mount as the price swaps. I still haven't gotten it confirmed whether the honor we farm now will be reset on prepatch day or launch day.
Ony has one riding training tier and mount was how speed changed. In TBC, isn't there two mount training levels? I'm wondering if that will give people who have learned an epic mount that skill and people who haven't will have to buy the epic ground training AND mount .

To avoid guessing, I think Mercy will answer whether we will be able to spend the accumulated honor in the pre-patch to buy classic items that used to be available for rank. But since it was written that the reset will be on November 16, I think they will give us the opportunity to spend it.
bumping to see if we can get any clarity regarding what to do with BG marks and honor points. (currently have 20k Honor points not sure why, we cant use that currency in Onyxia. thanks!

Yes. If you get the currently available riding skill (regardless of type) but do not learn a fast mount before pre-patch you will still only have the Apprentice 60% speed skill. You will need to then pay for Journeyman riding (150 skill, 600g before rep discounts) in order to use fast ground mounts. The cheapest way to get Journeyman riding is through the R11 mounts -- before pre-patch changes the riding skills.
edit: Before someone corrects me, technically the cheapest way would actually be through one of the special mounts from ZG or Strat etc.
