Technical I lost my character in Lordaeron

I haven't logged into the game for about a year. I decided to do so, and when I checked, my character no longer exists. But when I switched realms, the window showed me that I had one (which was the only character I created), but it didn't appear anywhere.

Was it deleted due to a lack of connection?

That's correct. If it was below a certain level it gets removed.

Hi, same happened to me. I lost 2 characters bellow lvl 50, but both were equipped with heirloom items for lvling. Is there a chance to retrieve characters or items?
