Soul Shards are easy to farm. The average warlock will have the bag that holds 32 shards, and just farm them up in between matches.

I don't see how one would use a full 32 shards in one battle.

Ways to farm them, put pet on passive, and just drain them from mobs below Dalaran.

Farm mobs while also grinding your profession.

Farm them off an arena partner via a duel.
