pls can some1 tell why as a lowie you have to play against fullgear 6.9k tryhards all the time? bg is already over before even started unless you have like 6k or 800resi at least, makes it unplayable, you simply cant enjoy bg anymore

As a general rule of thumb, do not solo queue for random battleground on weekends, holidays, or during peak hours. It will be filled with premades and HK farmers. Queue directly for Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm because these two maps give you the best chances against premades and HK farmers. Also, if you have any gear above a certain item level threshold, regardless of whether it is equipped or not, you have an extremely high chance of getting bumped up to the higher gear bracket for battlegrounds, where you will face 6k+ players. These issues have existed for several years and may never get fixed. Good luck!

well personally I dont find it hard to play bg most of the time cause ppl with gear arent necessarily good here, but for starters there is no way to join the pvp community, so its always the same players "enjoying" their mindless grind and pvp will never be that fun like it was since then, being here since at, so yeah pretty messed up concept, for me its such a shame to make pvp exclusive by choice, this server used to be such a nice place for some nice pvp sessions for everyone

Why would you want to join? Mindlessly zerging around in a group of 10 people, chasing down like 2-3 players is hella boring. I don't know why people do it. Just camping GYs is desirable for some people? As soon as these premades faces another, better premade, or just a random group of geared people, and lose the initial battle, they leave.

What do you mean "the pvp community"? If it's guilds I have seen most of them in global channels recruiting people and the requirements are low. Once inside they will let you join premades with them. You can also ask individual players you see in bgs if they want to group up with you. If you meet many people and they have fun with you they will call you later for sure.
It's wow battlegrounds. Either you annihilate the other team, or are annihilated, or are stuck in a battle of attrition with little to no potential to outplay the other team (just wait until the healers oom). The realm is old and we are stuck in the 284 meta. Players who don't like that meta are welcome to create a character in Blackrock where, after the resilience hotfix, you will experience really bland pvp.

Which is why AB and EotS are the best maps. You don't have to rely on attrition to win these two battlegrounds. If Warmane ever decide to fix this, all they need to do is implement a random solo queue BG with forced merc mode. It's braindead simple.

Snark aside I didn't even consider to mention "run around in circles" as a style of pvp gameplay, which is basically what those battlegrounds boil down to if you refuse to battle the enemy.

Nice try, but you actually do need to fight to take and hold bases, at least long enough to make a difference. The team who zergs will generally refuse to split up due to fear of dying and end up running around in circle while the team who plays the objectives will attack and defend multiple fronts simultaneously. What you described are the BG heros who will disconnect just to avoid deaths. Some will even rejoin the same BG. I am still waiting to catch these guys on tape so I can report them for ban.

The really sad part is that there is literally zero incentive to join the high gear BG bracket because BGs in mid tier have better quality. The matches feel more balanced because there are barely any premades, players care about BG objectives because they need honor and the unpopular 40 man BGs pop up less frequently because the mid tier player pool is smaller.
I honestly can't think of any positive aspect of the high gear BG bracket and unfortunately it doesn't seem like Warmane wants to change anything.

I rather keep creating new chars on Blackrock and enjoy mid tier BGs with them until they are forced in the high gear bracket. Then I delete them and repeat the circle.
That's more fun than playing my BiS char in the high gear bracket.

I don't think that's bannable but I wish they would fix that bug.
As long as you don't get more gear you shouldn't be bumped to the high bracket.
Definitely good that there's an option - you can play the 284 meta or the 258 meta. Yet another reason nothing needs to be changed.

I wish but even when you don't purchase any gear the system puts you in the high gear bracket at some point.
Guess that happens after a certain amount of honor has been collected or some other kind of check

I think it will bump you up once you pick up any 264 Wrathful offset pieces. Are you saying you get bumped up permanently despite never owning anything above 258?
