Hello, I've been noticing while leveling an alt that sometimes when you use the RDF feature, you may join an already started dungeon that has let's say 2/3 bosses killed. It asks you whether you want to stay or leave the instance. The problem is that when you leave, you get the 30 minutes deserter, and I can't really understand why.
If I am trying to get a piece of equipment from one of the bosses that has been already killed, why should I get punished for joining an already started instance that doesn't allow me to attain said piece of gear? I don't think this is fair, maybe if anything the standard cool-down from RDF sounds reasonable, but it feels like a double punishment, first for being unable to enjoy the full dungeon or have the chance to get a specific piece of gear, followed by the 30 minutes deserter.
You're joining Random Dungeon Finder, not "specific gear finder," with the knowledge that it also includes already started instances. You aren't being "punished" in any way, you just didn't get an optimal instance for what you hoped would happen, as per the nature of randomness.
The penalty is the same as any other case of ditching a group, because that's what you're doing and wasting the time of the people who were waiting for a replacement, so there would be no valid reason to remove it.
