1. Loot-Based Lockout

I've been wondering about a retail-like Loot-Based lockout system, where a player can enter any e.g. ICC ID, but if the ID does not match their lockout ID (or if they have not accepted the current ID if not saved yet), they are not eligible for loot. I suppose the same mechanism would be in place, as if you kill a boss, invite a new player, open the loot after summoning them. The new player will not receive anything, no gear, no emblems, (no scrolls?).

Why I think it would be beneficial:
    - It would help less-established guilds, with less character options, to continue raiding even with less availability in terms of tanks or healers, or otherwise missing key roles in the raid composition.
    - Sometimes you just want to help your friends, but your character is already saved.
    - You want to get some more practice, or potentially more easily grind some guild DKP. Players with fewer characters are at a great disadvantage with such a system, as their DKP income is signifficantly lower than a player with more characters, able to simply raid more.

  2. So you are one of those boosters who spam chat 24/7?

  3. No, I'm not. I'm a casual pve player, a little bummed that pugs ofter end prematurely, and you can't really enjoy that raid until next week.

If what the boosters do is illegal, they should be banned. It shouldn't be that hard to put an end to it, considering you can't just use throwaway accounts and characters to do it.

  4. What would be great if lockouts were sorted by the boss, everyone who did 4/12 can go together and continue.

No it's not illegal, as long as they follow rules. I have questions about automated chat spam, like dudes from ____ guild who spam their **** 24/7 with exactly 46 second interval.

  5. Yeah, they are a little obnoxious, but nothing the ignore list can't solve :D

I was thinking about that too, boss lockouts, but I figured that might facilitate getting gear a little too much. You'd be able to make much more efficient use of the week's lockout, and pouring more gear, gold and trade goods into the realm. So my focus with the suggestion was simply to allow players to replay raids if they wish, without additional benefits. It could still lead to an increased influx of commodities in the realm by facilitating more raid groups, but ofc, I couldn't give any statistics on that.

  6. If this happens there would be couple of guilds selling items nonstop to other players , resulting in no more pugs happening at all, and this facilitates getting bis so easily, wich is kinda opposite of wotlk expansion mindset. Personally , i dont think its a good idea.
