It depends on what you actually said in your conversation with him and that would be in these screenshots. Just from what you're saying here, you should have reported him and he would get permanently banned. But you decided to get gold out of him, under circumstances that would probably be in those screenshots.
The gold here isn't the matter, returning it wouldn't change anything. What happens is all reliant on if screenshots will show you wanting to buy the account for real money. You can claim you never wanted to and it was just a trick, but screenshots don't show intention. For all the GMs can know, you did want to buy it, but maybe wanted it for less and he refused, who knows. That's why you should have just reported it right away when he offered to sell it.
The ingame chat was about him trying to "gift" me account, and pulling me to talk off-game".. and Discord chat was about asking money.. I guess then if he reports it, he will get himself banned.. :D
