1. BT and MH difficulty level

    Hello dear Warmane Team,

I know SSC and TK was just released, but I am sure you already are working hard on the next raids. And on that note, we were wondering if you would consider perhaps making the raids a bit more difficult? I know this is a touchy topic, and therefore a "no" is fair. But I just wanted to raise the issue since I know a lot have been talking about it being too easy.

    Have a good day :)

  2. Yes and no,
It all depends on the perspective you’re looking from. For some guilds, T5 is easy, while for others, it’s not.
My guild, "Brain Required", does the entire T5 (TK + SSC) in 3 hours, taking it easy without rushing. On the other hand, there are guilds I sometimes watch on Twitch.tv or other streams that can barely kill 2 bosses in SSC in 2 hours.

For hardcore/semi-hardcore guilds like mine, it’s trivial—probably the same for yours. Personally, I would lean towards making BT+MH a bit harder than T5, perhaps by increasing boss HP by 25%-50% compared to what it was in Classic/Retail.

It’s definitely a topic for discussion, but the question is whether the administration sees it that way too.

  3. In Classic they launched it pre-nerf and then made it easier later. They're doing something similar now in Cata giving the raid an added debuff every couple weeks. The purpose being to give a challenge to serious raiders on initial content launch till they clear it and then still allowing casual raiders to complete it before phase end.

T4 and T5 was tough to do that here because pre-nerf wouldn't even exist on 3.3.5. T6 on the other hand was different. And here T6 will actually last 4 months with ZA in the middle of it essentially. I don't think it would be a terrible idea to set original TBC values on say the first 4 raid lockouts then change it back. I think that would be a fair compromise.

  4. Its a bad idea, in most cases bosses are trivial simply because people know what to do, and adding silly artificial dificulties like ramping a numbers up to make it into less forgiving endurance test just sucks.

For many guilds SSC and TK was easier mostly because many fellas were in T4 bis so basically way better gear that is requred for t5. And more people are more fine with finishing raids nicely in 2 hours than progressing single boss for 2 hours. People who like to spend hours progressing 1 boss most likely just moved.

  5. T6 is already the content tier when many endgame players stop playing. Not only because they cannot clear BT (or Hyjal) due to boss difficulty, but the repeating and wiping on the gross trash on Hyjal causes complete boredom to everyone who cannot consistently one-shot and efficiently clear.

On top of that, this when the full weight of all the stacking attunements in TBC is felt on Every.Single.Player hoping to raid and Every.Single.Guild hoping to maintain a healthy roster, especially those with more than 1 raid group due to the only easily accessible entry T4 raids.

If you were going to contemplate increasing difficulty of raiding it should have been in T5 at the latest. Do it on T6 at your peril!

Personally, I think Warmane's strategy of keeping things casual (even if it inadvertent sometimes) seems to be keeping many more players playing, and actually seeing content they've never seen before, than trying to combat the stacking "Meh Debuff" on the few veteran raiders who have done all this many times over.
