Pandaria Stuck on "Connecting..."

I recently decided to play the Mists of Pandaria expansion. I made a new account, got the game, but here's the problem: when trying to log into the game using the Warmane name and pass, I get stuck in this loop of "Connecting..." that seems to never end. Are the servers down for this expansions or is it down on maintenance?
