Let's say i'd like to get the bloodthirsty title on Frostwolf now, considering it's state its quite impossible, right?
So, my humble question is, would i get banned for trading honorable kills with other people? We talking pure honorable kills for achievement, no currency whatsoever.
Yeah but they were using the honor for the shattrath commendations to get gold and to be fair the server was pretty populated back then so it wouldve been easily possible to get it
Id like to know if under the current situation(aka no-pop server and no currency/gold abuse) it would still be bannable
The "situation of the server" has no bearing on the application of rules.
If GMs deemed the trade of honorable kills to be bannable, there are no ifs or buts about it.
Ngl that makes a lot of sense, that being said, is it bannable? I know for sure trading currency is, but i also know that when we were doing bgs for the legendary cloak we were told its okay(couldnt progress the questchain otherwise).
If you could redirect me to an article which states that its bannable, id be very thankful
"NO PVP EXPLOITING
There are five known methods to abuse of it:
(...)
Honor Exploit: Allowing someone to kill you or let you kill his/her toon to get Honor points in locations where it can be done fast and deliberately is not allowed."
You can say it's just for an achievement, but you'd still be earning Honor from those Honorable Kills, earned by doing exactly what the rule covers, if I'm not missing something. And as Repost said, people have been banned for it in the past. When you say it makes a lot of sense that rules continue to be applied the same way, that should already have had your answer.
I mean ive been capped on honor(4k is cap) since 2016 so i really cant earn any honor
But yes i do agree that once the rules are set they must be followed.
However, ive read the threat you linked me and achievement hunting doesnt really classify under pvp exploits if theres no currency earned.
Honorable kills achievements are not mentioned in that thread, also they'd be in open world so it wouldnt be wintrading bgs/arenas either.
You already have had confirmation that people were banned in the past for what you want to do.
Use your personal discretion and common sense, and accept any potential consequences that might come with your choice.
Trying to interpret the rules literally to allow you to do something that you know is exploitative is unlikely to end well.
You're trying to pad your number of HKs to earn a title that others achieved through legitimate effort, using kills that weren't obtained naturally. Do you really think a GM won't ban you just because your honor points are capped?
Well the points i made seem pretty valid to me tbh, you dont have to be so morally outraged because of my logic kek, in my humble opinion rules are made to be bent and interpret. It just seemed like the perfect loophole, the same way people "wintraded" pvp pet battle achievs on retail
Also if i really thought i wasnt gonna get banned i would not go on forums to be 100% safe now, would i?
That only works when you're the one enforcing the rules. No amount of attempted twist and bending would save you from a GM deciding your actions were punishable, because the ultimate rule will always be the one at the end of that page: "This page does not cover all the rules. If the GM's find an unfitting behavior, they will punish the player accordingly."
Yeah you made that thing pretty clear now and im really glad i asked on forum before doing something stupid. Imagine a 2015 account going down the drain for something like that, lol
Thank you for your support obnoxious :D, tho i wouldve really liked and appreciated a different outcome lmfao
