WotLK WeakAuras not working

So, I'm trying to get Weakauras to work on wotlk. There is no 3.3.5 version of weakauras, so I've tried 3.3.0 and 3.4.0 (manually put them in Interface/ Addons), they show up on character selects screen in Addons (both as outdated though), i've checked "Load out of date add-ons", but neither of them work in game. I've had experience with other private servers, so I've relogged/ reenabled them a couple times, I know they can be buggy, but still no luck. Is this a known issue or what? Do I just use the latest version (5.19)? (I've tried it on both blackrock and lordaeron). My version of WoW was downloaded from Warmane, so this is not the issue. Any help appreciated

Okay, soI've figured out that weakauras version number doesn't match wow version number and dowloaded weakauras 4.0.0 from felbite, it does show as Not out of date, but still doesn't load in game.
