1. Whats the point?????

Just out of curiosity. What is the point of the raid groups looking for people in global channels with 6k+ GS when that person already has alot higher or BiS gear to even obtain that GS requirement.. It blows my mind on this.

I googled this same question and the results it gave me where. Gold & Alts

    Alts:
How on earth does my question have a potential answer of Alts... If your an alt your not getting in these global groups anyway even if you have 10 chars with 6800 GS.

    Gold:
Really? I could see this being a possibility in the discord groups that are boosting dungeons for lower level players. Other then that, whats the point when you could pay 10$ for per 15k gold. 10$ is 20mins of work at a job site... 15k gold farm in game is 1-6 hours depending on the form of gold farming/trading your doing? Doesn't make any sense.

  2. Amazing no one has anything to say about this or maybe its the fact that its to complex in english for 75% of the community to even read it and respond.

  3. Actually not sure what you're saying. Are you asking why players are posting such a high gs requirement for pug raids and how a player could possibly have enough gs to get into raids like that?

  4. We are simply saying that the pug raids are asking a gearscore requirement of said:

    6.3+ ICC 25nm

What is the point of them honestly when your chance just to gain +5 agility one a rare drop and win a roll if its not (RESERVED which 75% are).

I mean what is that full set of t10 and then some.... for a NM to drop less ilvl then anything you have.

  5. People play for different reasons. You'll see a lot of full BIS players in pug raids because they just like the content and competing without the commitment. Some players will play for several months just for one or two items and that's why you will see players leave mid raid a lot because the item didn't drop. These players have multiple toons so they jump on a toon and run for an item and if it doesn't drop they go play something else.

Typically though these raids get desperate to fill, especially specific classes. So they will invite say a solid 6k gs shadow priest in a 6.3 raid. That still works great. Those players get a really good shot at gear. Free access to normal tokens/gear many times and they can build a whole off spec while also getting to roll on every BIS item. I've walked away with multiple items from that scenario.

Anyway there's always a reason. We might not always understand it, but players like to experience things in different ways.

It's much more likely that no one responded because this sort of thing is occasionally posted and the fact of the matter remain the same: if you disagree with the requirements set by the people leading PuGs, start your own with whatever requirements you want to set.

Their reasons for it don't matter, and chances are you know them already (more often than not, because they want to be sure it will be cleared with overpowered gear instead of relying on people to be skilled and know the fights). It's their run and they have no obligation to follow what you might consider "fair."
