Can Shamans survive a rogue opener on late game?

Hi, last night I accepted some equal level (39) Rogue duels as Enh Shammy, and I got totally destroyed by the 10s stun.

I know late on there is a trinket which frees you from stuns, but using it makes this fight winnable? Or can he just stun me again afterwards?

Maybe I get 1KOed before the stun worns out because I cant use Mail Armor yet, but not sure if it would help that much...

Im asking cause I tend to like 1v1's in games, etc. So I would like to know if there is something that can be done to survive that rogue opener. Also in late game gear etc, does this becomes more (or less) manageable?

A beautiful little thing called Free Action Potion. Also go train engineering and get some bombs.

Late game pvp is very different from low lvl pvp. You'll have resilience, much bigger health pool and mail armor. You should also try to switch to shield before rog opens on you and use https://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=30823 to metigate the dmg while stun locked.

Despite all of that it's save to say that enh is quite squishy and requires lots of skill and practice to be good in pvp.
If you want a easy time you should roll ret or dk instead.

As @Brutone said, shield/1h can save the day, along with mail armor + resilience ench shaman is capable to win against anyone.
