Why is CURRENT raid gear released into the shop?

As title suggest, why is the current raid loot released in the shop? Is it purely out of greed or is there some hidden reasoning behind it ? I bet this will cause alot of people to love most of their motivation to raid regularly, and it will for sure affect the PUG scene in a very negative way I think...

Guessing enough people have obtained said items to have them unlocked in the shop?

It would also appear this phase's goal is to act as a catchup phase for people to enter T5 & T6 raids. So it could have something to do with that too.

The content has been out for almost 3 months like previous tiers. With ZA released and attunements dropped already the game is leaning toward catch up mechanics. Having the items on the store is a great catch up mechanism.

I also think giving min/max opportunity to some guilds could be a lot of fun for raiding these last weeks before Sunwell. But also roster boss is hitting some of us and this gives a path for some gamers to get into our ranks and actually compete in Sunwell.

For some guilds as well not everyone is going to throw down the money for everything, but some will. It will increase the odds for some players to receive more contested loot that will be bought.

Those are positives I can think of. I don't disagree with you entirely though. It will cripple the GDKP scene. Sunwell launch won't be as authentic either with everyone wearing loot they wouldn't normally have obtained.

I just wish they implemented the ZA gear in the shop as well, coins were never easier to obtain, literally the time you waste raiding you can use for farming gold and selling it on the website for coins and buying the items you need.

Also wish they added Warglaives.

Actually I am very happy to see the gear released, not because I want to buy it, I dont really need it..but this GDKP system killed everything. It seems like the entire realm became one big GDKP.

I saw even some small dungeons going GDKP...I mean what the hell...

Even guilds became GDKP; everything became GDKP...

People who wanna buy gear will buy it now and save the golds for upcoming WOTLK patch.

People need to start waking up to the reality of the PUG scene in Onyxia and stop pretending that the Shop is a bad system, GDKPs are so rampant that a shop now not only is a necessary evil, but a lesser evil in-fact.
I'm very glad the shop added these items since it will also add a plateau to the gold cost of the items in those GDKPs.
We all know the GDKP hosts are raking in a massive amount of coins and/or gold and could potentially start RMTing with them, Warmane staff did the right thing to protect their status in this Market.

Open global chat any time of the day and there will be 10 plus guilds recruiting players all the time.

So what ? Just because they are recruiting doesn't mean that they actually find people..I've seen so many canceled raids because lack of people.

To me it sounds that you dont want to spend real money on website for coins and buy gold or farm gold to join GDKPS nor you want to apply yourself to a loot council Guild that will bench you for 2 weeks and next 3 weeks you wont get a single item unless no one needs it so yeah good luck what ever you are searching for hope it works out for you.
