Desolate areas

I hadn't played for many years, but recently I returned to this wonderful game. However, there is something I wanted to mention. When you create a human character, it is normal to find a high population of other players in the early areas with whom you can do missions or duels. There are many people in Stormwind, many in Westfall, then in Duskwood, and right after that, Straglethorn Valey, which also has many people.
However, I started another game with an undead rogue and I find that everything is desolate. What route should I follow to have an experience similar to that of the Alliance as a human?

I suppose Durotar -> Barrens -> Thousand Needles? Once you reach around level 35 you can go to Stranglethorn Vale too. That should take you around one day.
