1. Should pvp lock have hit cap?

As title, should I gem hit to get this 5-6% ? I see that in [URL]https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=285903[URL] locks have like 40-50 ish hit rating. I also checked top locks from ladder and they have around 3% hit. However when I tried dlock on blackrock battlegrounds I had quite a lot misses with 50-ish hit rating.

  2. You have to take 3/3 Suppression in the Affliction tree which adds 3% to your hit. That, plus your gear, should make you reach whatever your hit goal is. Remember that hit rating obtained from talents does not appear in your character sheet.

  3. Thx for answer! Im playing dlock mostly and I don't see much option to take Supression tough (even if it's in tear 1 affli tree). I think I will just try to get this ~ 3% hit from items and that's about it.

There are some talents and races though, which you should keep in mind while dealing with hit cap. So there are situations where you can get "miss" even if you get both 4% from gear and 3% from talent, fighting somebody like blood elf paladins or rogues.

  5. Base hit = 4%

Base hit + Racials (undead 2% shadow resistance or blood elf 2% magic resistance for example) = 6%

Base hit + Talents (rogues or paladins 4% chance for spells to miss talents for example) = 8%

Base hit + Racials (undead 2% shadow resistance or blood elf 2% magic resistance for example) + Talents (rogues or paladins 4% chance for spells to miss talents for example) = 10%

You could need as low as 4% or as high as 10%. Your pvp hit rating is determined by what your fighting against. Not everyone or every team you fight will require the same hit rating.

No need to stack 6%, 8%, or 10% hit rating if its not absolutely needed as the extra hit rating does come at a cost of lowering other more important stats given the situation.
