    WoWNote is a World of Warcraft 3.3.5a addon that bundles many small but annoying everyday problems into one in-game toolkit.

    It focuses on practical quality-of-life features for raiders, guilds, alts, raid leaders, collectors and players who like having useful tools directly inside the game.

    What problems does WoWNote solve?

    • Raid notes get lost: keep notes directly in-game and account-wide.
    • Player-specific information is hard to remember: add character notes and show them in tooltips or context menus.
    • Raid planning needs too many external tools: use raid planner, tactical board and screen drawing tools directly in WoW.
    • Buff assignments are annoying: use PallyBuffs for PallyPower-compatible raid buff coordination, easier PUG setup and template-style LFM planning.
    • You forget raid IDs: track raid IDs in-game.
    • You run out of reagents or consumables: track items and restock safely from vendors.
    • Vendor restock can overbuy: WoWNote calculates target minus current inventory and buys only the needed vendor units.
    • Mailbox clicking is tedious: optional post/mail quality-of-life features help with common mailbox actions.
    • Manabonk postmaster mail is annoying: optionally clean Manabonk mail and remove The Mischief Maker safely.
    • Guild invite spam is annoying: optionally block guild invites.

    Feature Overview

    Main Menu and Settings

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote uses a structured main menu with anchored submenus, so tools stay organized and easier to reach.

    The menu is grouped into major areas such as Notes, Character Notes, Bank, Quality of Life, Data Transfer, Character Tools, Social and Settings.

    Settings allow enabling or disabling modules such as mail features, PallyBuffs, character notes, social protections and data transfer. The minimap icon can also be hidden.

    Notes

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote provides an in-game note system for keeping important information directly inside the client.

    Use it for raid notes, strategy reminders, farming notes, guild information, personal checklists or anything else you want available in-game.

    Character Notes

    Spoiler: Show

    Character Notes are account-wide notes attached to specific players.

    They are stored by character name and realm, so notes for players with the same name on different realms remain separated.

    You can create, edit, show and delete character notes from the WoWNote UI. Notes can also be created from the player context menu. If enabled, character notes can appear in tooltips when hovering over a player.

    Useful for:
    • remembering good tanks, healers or raid leaders
    • marking ninja looters or unreliable players
    • tracking trade partners
    • saving social notes about guild members or PUG players
    • keeping private reminders attached to character names

    PallyBuffs – PallyPower-Compatible Raid Buff Coordination

    Spoiler: Show

    PallyBuffs adds raid buff coordination tools for paladin blessings and aura assignments.

    It supports compatible raid buff communication and provides a cleaner assignment workflow inside WoWNote.

    It also helps with finding people for PUG raids and can support template-style LFM searches by making buff coverage and class utility easier to organize.

    Features include:
    • blessing assignment handling
    • aura assignment handling
    • Free On behavior
    • mass assignment helpers
    • All button for fast class-wide assignments
    • secure one-button buff workflow
    • missing-buff detection
    • remaining-time display for tracked buffs
    • assignment state synchronization

    The buff button is click-based and follows protected WoW UI rules.

    Talent Planner

    Spoiler: Show

    The Talent Planner allows planning and viewing talent builds directly in-game.

    It is useful for comparing builds, preparing specs, saving ideas and managing character planning without leaving the game.

    Raid Planner and Raid Helper Tools

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote includes raid preparation tools for planning raid setups, assignments and group organization.

    These tools are meant to reduce the need for external notes or separate planning windows while preparing raids.

    Tactical Board and Drawing Tools

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote includes tactical visual tools for explaining strategies and positioning.

    The Tactical Board and Screen Draw tools can be used to draw plans, explain boss mechanics, mark movement paths or create quick visual reminders.

    Useful for:
    • raid leading
    • explaining boss tactics
    • showing positioning
    • drawing movement paths
    • planning tactical assignments

    Raid ID Tracker

    Spoiler: Show

    The Raid ID Tracker helps keep track of saved raid instances.

    This is useful for players with multiple characters, weekly lockouts and raid planning across several groups or alts.

    Item Tracker and Restock

    Spoiler: Show

    The Item Tracker helps monitor important consumables, reagents and materials.

    You can configure tracked items with minimum and target amounts. Alerts can notify you when an item drops below your configured threshold.

    The Restock feature calculates purchases safely:

    Code:
    Target - Current = Needed amount
    It then buys the required vendor units instead of filling the whole inventory.

    Useful for:
    • paladin symbols
    • class reagents
    • raid consumables
    • profession materials
    • ammo or other supplies
    • personal stock management

    Bank Tools

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote includes bank snapshot support to help track stored items and inventory-related data.

    This is useful for checking what you have stored without manually searching through everything each time.

    Post / Mail Features

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote includes optional mailbox quality-of-life features.

    Mail features are controlled through the Settings module and can be enabled or disabled.

    The goal is to reduce repetitive mailbox clicking and make post/mail handling smoother.

    Data Transfer Picker

    Spoiler: Show

    The Data Transfer Picker lets you choose what you want to send or export directly.

    You no longer need to open the exact note, character note or feature first before exporting or sending it.

    Supported transfer categories include:
    • Notes
    • Character Notes
    • Tactics
    • Raid Planner data
    • Talents
    • Raid IDs
    • Tracker / Restock data
    • Bank data

    This makes sharing supported WoWNote data more intuitive.

    Social Features

    Spoiler: Show

    WoWNote includes optional social protection tools.

    Currently included:
    • Guild invite blocker
    • Manabonk mail cleanup

    The guild invite blocker can automatically block incoming guild invites when enabled.

    Manabonk Mail Cleanup

    Spoiler: Show

    If you have spent time in Dalaran, you probably know the Manabonk gnome and the postmaster mail that can follow afterwards.

    WoWNote can optionally clean this mail.

    The feature is defensive and disabled by default.

    It checks for:
    • the Manabonk attachment item ID
    • The Mischief Maker item ID: 44817
    • exactly one matching attachment
    • no money attachment
    • no COD
    • no multiple attachments

    If the mail is recognized safely, WoWNote can take the attachment, remove the matching item and delete the empty mail afterwards.

    This avoids deleting unrelated mail or valuable attachments by accident.

    **WoWNote v1.14.52 – New Port Helper and Summon Tracking**

    A new **Port Helper** has been added to WoWNote to make raid summon coordination easier and faster.

    **Screenshot:**
    https://ibb.co/NgTkrH3y

    ### Features

    * Available directly from the WoWNote main menu
    * Additional access from the Raid Planner
    * Dedicated GUI for summon coordination
    * Posts the summon request directly to raid chat
    * Uses the message prefix:

    `WoWNote- PortHelper:`

    Default message:

    `Need a summon? Write 123`

    * Tracking starts only after the request has been posted
    * Tracking can be started and stopped manually
    * Slash command:

    `/wnport`

    ### Player detection

    The Port Helper detects players who respond with the configured code.

    Supported examples:

    * `123`
    * `132`
    * `1 2 3`
    * `port 123`

    Duplicate entries are ignored, and the player posting the request is not added to the list.

    ### Summon workflow

    Each detected player is shown as a separate clickable entry.

    * Left-click: target the player
    * Right-click: remove the player from the list
    * Players are automatically removed once they remain within summon range
    * Offline and group status are displayed directly in the list

    ### Compatibility

    The Port Helper is designed for WoW 3.3.5a and has been adjusted for Warmane client limitations.

    It uses secure target macro buttons instead of unsupported targeting functions and avoids APIs that are unavailable in the 3.3.5a client.

    This update provides a compact workflow for announcing summons, collecting requests, targeting waiting players, and clearing completed summons automatically.

    * Built-in effect presets
    * Live model preview
    * Adjustable scale, position, facing and offsets
    * Support for custom model paths
    * Save and load custom cursor sets

    Cursor Effects

    Blood-Queen Bite Helper

    The new Bite Helper provides a complete assignment and tracking workflow for Blood-Queen Lana'thel.

    It is designed for both raid leaders and individual players.

    Raid-lead configuration

    Raid leaders and assistants can build and distribute the complete bite order through a dedicated editor.

    * Create bite assignments using drag and drop
    * Automatically generate source players for later bite rounds
    * Rearrange or remove assignments
    * Display the complete bite tree by round
    * Post a readable bite order directly into raid chat
    * Synchronize assignments with other WoWNote users
    * Automatically open the personal HUD for receiving players

    Bite Helper configuration

    Personal player HUD

    Every player receives a compact overlay containing their own current assignment.

    * Displays the current bite target
    * Shows the following assignment
    * Provides clickable secure target buttons
    * Highlights the current bite round
    * Displays dead, revived and skipped-target indicators
    * Shows a directional arrow toward the assigned player
    * Movable background and title bar
    * Opens automatically after receiving a complete bite order
    * Keeps the HUD inside the visible screen area
    * Saves the HUD position between sessions

    Bite Helper player HUD

    Automatic encounter tracking

    The Bite Helper automatically follows the progress of the encounter.

    * Detects completed bites through combat-log events
    * Uses the Essence aura as an additional fallback
    * Advances automatically to the next assignment
    * Skips the current bite target when that player is dead
    * Continues with the next valid target
    * Tracks dead and revived raid members
    * Uses combat-safe target buttons

    Synchronization

    Private servers do not always deliver addon messages reliably, even when the sending client reports success.

    The Bite Helper therefore uses several communication paths:

    * Standard RAID addon messages
    * Fallback addon-message prefix
    * Direct addon whispers to raid members
    * Visible raid-chat fallback
    * Reconstruction of assignments from raid-chat messages
    * Duplicate-packet suppression
    * Receiver acknowledgements
    * Incoming packet validation
    * Automatic HUD opening after successful reception

    The visible raid-chat fallback allows the Bite Helper to reconstruct the full assignment even when normal addon packets are silently dropped by the server.

    Test mode

    The Bite Helper includes a complete local testing environment.

    * Simulated raid roster
    * Generated bite assignments
    * Previous and next assignment controls
    * Simulated completed bites
    * Kill and revive controls
    * Directional-arrow testing
    * Local synchronization testing
    * Full encounter reset

    Commands:

    Code:
    /wn bite
    /wnbite
    /wnbite debug on
    /wnbite debug off
    Stability and compatibility improvements

    This release also contains several fixes for WoW 3.3.5a compatibility and existing WoWNote modules.

    * Replaced unsupported frame APIs
    * Removed unsupported SetEnabled() calls
    * Replaced unsupported math.mod usage
    * Hardened Bite Helper SavedVariables
    * Protected initialization against malformed legacy data
    * Preserved legacy string-based notes during migration
    * Improved dialog stacking and frame clickability
    * Fixed duplicate event and chat-filter processing
    * Prevented duplicate transfers from resetting active synchronization
    * Improved cursor rendering on ultrawide resolutions
    * Restored the original fullscreen cursor-model behavior
    * Added validation for malformed synchronization chunks

    Release checks

    The complete addon was checked for:

    * Lua 5.1 syntax errors
    * TOC loading order
    * Fresh and existing SavedVariables
    * Malformed SavedVariables recovery
    * Module initialization
    * Main-menu and submenu navigation
    * Slash commands
    * Window opening and clickability
    * Bite Helper synchronization flows
    * Central WoWNote module regressions

    Important

    All participating players should use WoWNote v1.14.66 for reliable Bite Helper synchronization.

    After replacing the addon files, run:

    Code:
    /reload

    Bug reports and feature requests are welcome.
