Hi,

I would like to do a character renaming. I would like to ask you about the point system: It says that I need to have at least 1k achievement points. However, here, https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=451427, it says, "* Achievement points from Onyxia realm DO NOT count to the total value."

Does this mean that I cannot collect the points while my account has only characters on Onyxia?

That's correct. If you want to obtain points, you need one character on Icecrown/Lordaeron to have those 1k achievement points. You don't even need to play on said character beyond that. You could level a character and earn the required achievement points to collect activity points, if that interests you.
