Why are tanks getting banned for rolling on the expertise trinket in heroic mgt? Expertise is a very important tank stat. Tanks getting parried then being double smacked by bosses from the party haste is very deadly.

even tho its important, its not your mainstat to aim for. hence if a melee dps needs it and you roll need instead of greed you say "bye bye".
It offers:
1. Expertise which is stat needed by tanks and melee DPS.
2. It offers Attack Power proc chance on hit, which is only needed by physical DPS classes/specs.
Hence it's melee DPS trinket. Not a tank trinket.
This isn't Wrath guys. In TBC generating threat is a big deal. Shard of Contempt is on tank bis lists for end game depending on what you need. You will see tanks in Sunwell using this trinket as well as various other damage trinkets from previous phases.
Muru tank trinket has expertise on it. Badge of tenacity has on use power for snap threat. You'll also have prot pallys use spell power trinkets. It's just how TBC is designed.

Against hard hitting bosses it is a main stat. If you parry haste a hard hitting boss you are just dead. There aren’t a Lot of expertise options available for tanks. If dps is short on expertise it doesn’t run the risk of wiping the raid like if a tank is.
You can appeal the ban at the website. We don't know here what your spec/class was or even if that item was indeed the reason you were banned for, so you will have to appeal directly to support.
