The attitude of the characters is to quickly, quickly, run, let's just get over it. I don't have time for that.
I joined with a well-geared tank, at the beginning I accidentally pulled in a couple of mobs. We killed him in 10 seconds. One of the losers immediately started writing "*****" and then spammed the vote kick. (then they kicked me) What is this guy playing for?
pvp: on bg, the 6k gears insult the weak ones with 4-5k gears. Then ally wins. Icecrown server
RDF, for many, is their 2 EoF of the day. Doubt there's much interest of farming anything extra beyond that. Some players can be a bit special, not limited to Icecrown. It just seems you happened to run into some special player.
In PvP, gear matters. It's easy to call out less geared people "weighing" the team down when the team you're in is losing.
Tolerance and patience takes the hit when people are self-centered in MMO's.
I totally feel the same. I don’t understand why players in Heroic RDF on the Icecrown server are so impatient. Tanks won’t wait for the healer’s mana and just rush ahead like they’re speedrunning. Even worse, you’ve got Warriors with Fury spec queuing as tanks. They get wrecked by trash mobs, forcing the healer to burn a ton of mana just to keep them alive. And then, without waiting for the healer to recover, they charge into the next pack—only to wipe the whole group. Then they start blaming everyone else. It’s honestly toxic.
I agree. I've had numerous instances lately where the party is busy fighting a group of mobs or even a boss, and the Tank's ADHD takes over and they run to the next group. In the mean time, the Healer now has to decide between keeping the group alive or healing the Tank after he "Leeroy Jenkins-d" it into another battle, and the DPS are stuck taking all the aggro from the mobs no longer focused on the Tank.
I think the main reasons are:
- players’ mental state
- the Icecrown server model
I experience the same thing as a tank.
I wait for my healer’s mana, and then some DPS (typically hunters, mages, warriors...) decides to pull the next pack,
and I have to struggle to claw the aggro back from them.
I’ve also had some 6.5k GS healer show this annoying behavior of pulling packs while we’re still fighting.
All within just 3 days of playing here. Easily 90% of my random groups consist of childlike, impatient,
non-English-speaking 30-year-olds.
So it’s not the role.
The Icecrown server itself also attracts impatient people by nature due to its model.
Icecrown is all about standing around in Dalaran and competing with others on some damage meter addon.
And therefore you get a lot of childlike 30-year-olds who love being there, and they have no problem with their own kind.
People on Lordaeron are more patient and mature.
You rarely see this extreme-childlike behavior as you do on Icecrown.
