Dear Warmane Administrators,
I am writing to formally express my concern and confusion regarding the current battleground matchmaking system between Lordaeron and Blackrock players.
When I first began playing battlegrounds from my Lordaeron character, the opponents I faced had around 15,000 HP, which felt balanced and enjoyable. However, recently, nearly every battleground I join is filled with players wearing full Wrathful and Relentless gear, clearly from Blackrock’s high-tier PvP bracket. As a lower-tier player with around 1,000 resilience, I simply cannot compete against that level of gear disparity — most encounters end in me being one-shotted, making the gameplay experience extremely frustrating and unenjoyable.
There seems to be no clear explanation anywhere about what exact gear score or item level thresholds determine when a player from Lordaeron begins to face Blackrock players in PvP. This lack of transparency makes it difficult for players like me to understand how we are being matched and what we can do to stay within an appropriate tier for fair gameplay.
I would like to kindly request:
Clarification on what criteria or gear score range causes a Lordaeron player to be matched with Blackrock players.
Guidance on what items or gear I should remove or downgrade if I wish to return to the lower PvP tier, where battles are fair and fun.
If possible, a character transfer or reset back to the lower-tier PvP bracket, as my current situation feels completely unbalanced and unplayable.
I genuinely enjoy Warmane and appreciate the effort put into maintaining the realms, but I believe the current matchmaking setup is unfairly punishing players who simply want to progress naturally without being forced into a "pay-to-win" environment.

The information isn't publicly available on purpose. Moving up to the next bracket is something that every character is meant to experience sooner or later, and trying to "game the system" to get an edge while avoiding the next bracket is actually something that can get you manually pushed to the next one.
There's no downgrading or going back once you move. Removing equipment or even deleting items won't affect it.
Keep in mind the game never had such brackets and you're supposedly meant to be among the top geared players right from the first time you are able to join a Battleground. We created these separations to reduce that to a certain level, but no one is entitled to remaining in a lower bracket. It should be looked at as a temporary privilege, not a right.
