I find discusting and disturbing that grown man go up and do that. I beleve these people are damaged individuals from all the buling the got in school, we use to give and take buling and that made us stonger, but it broke them. I know to be able to do that is in the nature of the game an i am glad for it, because thats were the true colors of a man are shown. I often ask in the /1 whether some poor low lvl guy need any help and i take satisfaction from fulfilling what i see as my duty as a Paladin. As for the assailants i feel pity for there souls, for they must be so miserable to enjoy buling other characters in a videogame. Anyway chears to those who dont, and a Prayer for those who do, for the bottomless pits of hells chasms are filled with those who get sutisfaction from the pain of others.

The World of Warcraft is a fantasy world that features two factions who are at war with each other. There is no gender or childhood trauma here. You're a character in a game. Naturally in a state of war being less experienced or weaker doesn't mean the enemy has to have mercy.
The real problem is players of a game assigning real world feelings and reasons as an excuse for not doing world pvp in a video game. "They're wasting my time in real life" um... no a player of the opposing faction killed you because you are an enemy in the game. It's not that deep.Edited: November 4, 2025

Ganking low level players in WoW is usually just boredom, power trips, or part of the game culture. But if someone's really into making others miserable, it might hint at some deeper frustration or lack of empathy. Most of the time though, it's just people messing around in a video game, not some big psychological issue.

I felt like logging into Warmane for the first time in a year to see what all happened. Funny that the day before, I ultimately made the decision to give up fornication and marry my girlfriend for good. It would seem God told me to come here tonight, and for very good reason.
OP, I know you how feel. I used to play on Warmane and I complained so much whenever I got camped by one or more level 80s while leveling. You should have seen my petty argument with Skuddy years ago regarding this topic, I made way worse posts about ganking than the OPs. Please understand that while a lot of time and effort is put into leveling a character, understand that it's really just a game meant to pass the time. Since I repented of fornication and turned to Jesus, my energy started returning and I get less frustrated and less confused than I used to.
Maybe a break from the game will do you some good. Jesus changed me after I finally repented of lust. Turn to Jesus and you'll find Jesus changes you, too. You'll probably even forget about the players that gank you, and even if you don't, you won't care about them anymore.
I hope everything's been well for everyone else on Warmane. While I'm here, I have another sin to confess here. God will see it and so will you guys.
I have been using a modified version of PQR to bypass Warmane's detection system. Every PVP fight I've participated in, I was using a combat bot. I cheated like crazy and none of you ever knew. All that being said, I owe the entire Warmane community a huge apology. Jesus saves! Repent now and you'll notice positive changes in yourself.

To release you of so grievous a sin as cheating on a 20 year old video game so easily after a simple apology. I don't think so buddy. As punishment I think you need to log back in and give to at least 50 gold beggars in capital cities.

Yeah, well I felt bad that I was scripting in PVP (Not Arenas, mostly BGs and World PVP), so I just decided to get it all out there. Maybe not a sin, but I wanted to be honest and confess since I can't log back in anyway (I lost my in game password).
As for the lust thing, I used to sleep with prostitutes whenever I could get myself extra money. I wanted to confess that here as well because I know the world is going through dark times, especially the USA with people not having SNAP due to the government shutdown.

IMO world PVP is one of nice things ruined by malicious people and for now nobody managed to change that opinion.
And gankers are not some sort of lore following fellas. They gank because they are *******s who intentionaly grief other players and waste their time in hope that someone will write them some angry whispers. Thats it. Like if i need honor i just go into STV or HP and just hunt for gankers, they are easy to kill for honor farming lmao.
