hey there, i just recently tried to make a more recent backup under the "Security" tab, i was wondering if anyone else had it stay at 99% and was unable to download the backup? if so, is there a fix for it? is it common? etc any help would be great ! thanks!

I think I was able to download mine by letting it go there 99% and then give few curses, then refresh page its 100 and downloadable

No idea if it's the case, but a long time ago there was a visual issue that kept the page from updating to 100%, keeping it displaying 99% even when it was done. Back then, if I recall, people said that refreshing the page (after what should be enough time for it to reach 100%) fixed it.

I've had a ticket open for weeks now, completely ignored. I also posted in this forum. It' simply doesn't work.

yeah i remember that, i always refresh the page all the time, and watch the % go up, but yeah it doesnt do that when it hits 99 for me, anyway, unless i need to wait a long time before i do that lol

yeah, i just tried it again and its stuck at "99% complete, Please wait" i've refreshed it about 15-20 times.

Although I'm confused at why it's so worrisome. You're aware the backup is only for our use, in case of some catastrophic database loss, aren't you? It won't be used for anything else, especially something on the player's end. Ever since it was implemented like a decade ago it hasn't been required.

I'm well aware how it works. Backups are never needed until they are, and given the situation that pservers operate on I am worried I'd need to use the backup and I didn't have a recent one.

I did just recently get a backup as old one was getting quite old, it worked fine for me. Tested it today and it still worked for me. You could try again sometime later, give it a week or two.
Players want to use the backup feature for a reason. They don't want all their hard work after years of progressing on their accounts gone to waste again. Likelihood of it happening again is small and never a zero, but having a relatively fresh backup is always good to have on hand. Players who didn't do/have one when it's actually needed would be told "should've done that backup that we offered for everybody."
