Couple years back my account got hacked and it got banned , i was successful in appealing the ban and getting my account back but most of my characters are gone . What are the chances i can get those characters back since i assume the hacking/banning happened a couple years back. The account has been premium since the molten days. Any info if anyone was able to restore lost characters like that would be much appreciated

Maximum restoration time for a player deleted character is 30 days. Guess you're out of luck.

Is it actually your character, or is only the name the same? Inactivity Cleanup and Gold Squish for a healthier economy clears unused characters' names.
It's possible somebody sold your characters and they've been active ever since. Check https://www.warmane.com/account/history for sent coin gifts, and check trade for character sale history to confirm this.

It is actually my old character , i have checked the account history as you said and there has been nothing about the actual character , just some gold buying or selling done by the hacker

When I said check trade, I meant https://www.warmane.com/account/trade and select "Sell" to see "CHARACTERS I'VE TRADED" -tab. If that character traded owners (accounts) that would explain how it's not showing up on your account.
If the character isn't sold or traded, and it's definitely yours, it should be on the account. Did you have multiple accounts?

I've just checked "Characters i've traded" and yes my two main characters have been traded away.. I'm guessing then that means i cannot get them back :)
