Hello. I've been playing on your server since late 2019. Previously, I played on the AT server in 2011. I've also played on many other private servers, official classics, and retail. Recently, I've seen a loss of players from Blackrock. What's causing this? Firstly, it's harder to find teammates; a huge number of my friends have moved on to other games or other servers. Secondly, the arena ladder, especially SoloQ, has seen its ratings drop, leaving teams full of the same players with different characters. What mistakes do I see on the administration's part? The first reason is the dead SoloQ bracket. It's currently the most popular bracket in retail because you don't have to spend a ton of time on teammates; you just log in, queue, and play like any other game. Let's say I join a server and need a 2050 rating for full gear; currently, that's the top 25. For the average player without gear, this rating is unattainable. This complicates finding 2v2 partners, as the server is many years old, most players are already geared, and no one wants to boost a new character and lose because of gear. What's the solution for a newbie? Hoping to find a partner, wasting a ton of time, or simply leaving the server. Second, Blackrock is in Season 5. What audience is this realm designed for? People usually go to AT-type servers due to a lack of time, energy, a reluctance to level up, and so on. Currently, it's harder to get gear on Blackrock, and Onyxia has an advantage. If the target audience wanted to grind, they would go to Onyxia. For example, I played last season's Blackrock, so I'm skipping this one and staying for Season 8. I really wanted to play, but alas. I think there are many like me. Don't forget that Blackrock makes up the majority of the arena standings, and people go there specifically for that. Indulging Onyxia and giving them an advantage, I think, is a mistake. The majority of the standings will be from Blackrock anyway. Third, the fight against cheaters and scripters. People who play Blackrock know cheaters by sight; they've been using third-party software for years and still get rewards every season. Recording videos and reporting results in automated messages from the GM, and nothing changes. There are rare bans of the same people, but the next week they buy new characters and continue to destroy fair competition. My suggestion is to hire a competent GM developer who understands the API and LUA. Fourth, the absence of any tournament activity. I propose replacing the rewards for reaching ranks 1-3. Instead, hold tournaments for the top 8 or top 16 players from the standings. One or two GMs are enough for this. Let me remind you that two streamers organized a similar tournament a couple of months ago, attracting players from different servers and thousands of views on Twitch, all at their own expense, considering the prize pool wasn't that large by server standards. Why can two people organize such a tournament, but a huge server can't? I'm sure people would play even for coins, and if there were real money, it would be even more interesting. Thank you for your attention, and I hope you'll read the entire text and draw your own conclusions. Today, Blackrock feels like the end of AT.
