What do you think about a demo/destro hybrid pve spec warlock... or do you have a link to a good guide?

Haven't tried it myself, but it has always peaked my interest to an extent. Seems fun. Some guides exist online, just make sure you are searching for wotlk 3.3.5. Also try joining the Warmane discord channel, the Warlock section has a lot of good people willing to help and answer questions quickly.

Hard to justify bringing it in a serious setting though in a casual setting do whatever you want.

The idea is essentially stacking Molten Core 18% damage steroid with either the 15% crit chance on SF or 30% haste on Incin with Backdraft 30% haste on conflag. However, too much haste makes incin contradict the gcdl 90% haste on incin does not translate to incins being cast anything under a second. Then the problem with soul fire is also that you don't go deep enough to really get the OP soulfire talent in Decimation where you can spam it at execute range plus it also costs a soul shard every time to cast it otherwise. Then there is a significant issue of steroids comparisons.

The broader issue is that the early levels talents (roughly 20-30 points) are honestly pretty weak with barely anything noteworthy as a steroid where deeper in the tree, both destro and demo deeply reward commitment, particularly demo. Demo gives you a 20% damage steroid plus immolation aura for 30 seconds in metamorphosis and you also get 10% spell dam steroid plus another 10% spell power steroid for you and the entire raid in Demonic Pact. You can argue destro's 55, 60 talents are less impactful and it sounds good on paper the 40-50 talents; 15% fire dam, 20% bonus spell damage, but like I said earlier soul fire is just lame without Decimation and if you're that deep in demo, you lose damage rather than gain it by not getting Demonic act + Metamorphosis. It's also hard to describe a build where your every 8 in 10 spell casts is basically incinerate as 'fun'
