Cannot start "Everfrost" quest - "You don't meet the requirements"

Hello,

I just finished the questline for the Sons of Hodir and I am currently Friendly with them. I found an [Everfrost Chip] on the ground, but I can't start the quest because I get the error: "You don't meet the requirements for that quest".
I have already tried deleting the item and looting another one, and I also deleted my Cache folder, but the same error appears.

What can I do to fix this? Thank you!

According to WoW wiki, there are two requirements to start this quest:
- Friendly status with Sons of Hodir
- Level 77

Are you 77 yet? If you are, then you could try to submit a ticket in-game or https://www.warmane.com/account/support

On Warmane (Onyxia server), reputation is irrelevant or a bonus requirement for Everfrost Chip. There are much more specific requirements:

1. You cannot even accept the item's quest Everfrost without first completing a sub-quest from Thorim's Forging Alliance questline called Territorial Tresspass.
2. Even if you meet the above requirement, you cannot store more Everfrost Chips in your bag in order to later submit them, unless you first complete - as in hand in - the quest to Calder NPC, unlocking the Remember Everfrost! quest.

Did it on 2 characters, I was revered on both before I could hand them in.
Dunno if it's coded wrong and you actually need revered, or just unlocking the required pre-quests get you to revered anyway.
Anyway you can still grind out revered to exalted with them.

For any1 still interested in this post: after you get to honored (which u will reach automatically as u follow the Hodir questline ( which at 1 point will grant a massive 10k or so at the end of the last chain quest), you only have to complete the 3 or 4 Yellow (not blue/daily) quests that open up in that Area. they are 1 time quests. once completed, you may turn in any amount of everfrost shards that u want.
PS: you can still collect them before you do that but you will not get an everfrost shard, only the grey item (which is pretty much useless and has a value of around 3g and doesnt give any rep).
